This privacy policy explains how SASSA Guide handles information when you visit this website. This site is designed to work without collecting personal information. It is aligned with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
What we do not collect
SASSA Guide does not have accounts, logins, or forms that ask for personal information. We do not ask for your ID number, banking details, PIN, card number, one-time PIN (OTP), phone number, or physical address, and we could not process an SRD R370 application, appeal, or status check even if you sent us those details. Please do not send them.
Standard server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server access logs when your browser requests a page. These typically include the requested URL, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser type, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site online and to diagnose technical issues. We do not use them to identify you.
Cookies
This site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. If we add strictly necessary cookies in the future (for example, to remember a language choice), we will list them here and they will not be used for advertising.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate traffic (which articles are read most, which countries visitors come from) so we can decide which topics to update first. Emails you send us
If you email us at talhaabid00091@gmail.com to report a correction or ask an editorial question, we keep the email so we can reply and fix the article. If you accidentally send personal information (ID number, banking details, or a copy of your ID document), we will delete it and reply asking you to contact SASSA directly on 0800 60 10 11.
Your POPIA rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we do not collect personal information from readers, we typically hold nothing about you. If you have emailed us and want that email deleted, tell us and we will delete it.
